Rev. Greg Staples Pastor Greg was raised in a Christian home, in which faith was an integral part of his family life. In his formative years he was camp counselor at China Lake Conference Center, the camp of the American Baptist Churches of Maine. That experience would mold his Christian faith, his desire to serve others and, ultimately, his call to the ministry. After earning his Masters of Divinity in 2005, he became Interim Senior Pastor first at Maplewood Baptist Church in Malden, MA, then at the Chelmsford Baptist Church in Lowell, MA. For over a decade, he and his wife, Rev. Damaris Staples served at the First Baptist Church of Melrose, MA. He has ministered on the Board of Christian Education, Board of Deacons, Superintendent of Sunday School, and has preached regularly. He worked bi-vocationally, in the fields of finance and banking. The Lord has allowed him to apply his financial knowledge within the ministry. Pastor Greg’s vision for the ministry is to share the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ. Within the church, his goal is to create a welcoming environment in which others will want to enter and where they can grow in a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He hopes to build vibrant ministries that will build-up the church and transform lives. He enjoys music, writing, camping, and sailing. He looks forward to getting out on Lake George soon!
