American Baptist Men of New York State
The mission of American Baptist Men of New York State is to bring men into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ; to encourage men to practice their ministry at home, at work and in their community; and to strengthen the spiritual life of men through shared fellowship, caring study, and prayer.
ABMen work together to design service programs and projects that utilize men’s gifts in ministry; encourage men to join in unison with their pastors and/or area church leadership in shared ministry; develop basic skills which men can use in their ministries; and help clarify men’s role and identity in today’s world. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV).
American Baptist Women's Ministries
This group is a member of American Baptist Women of New York State. We meet at 10:00 a.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from September – June. A variety of guest speakers and our devotions time inspire us to spiritual growth and acts of love in Christ’s name. Our main emphasis is on missions. We work together on service projects, and share wonderful fellowship time. All women are invited to attend, and new members are always welcome.

Piecemakers
Quilting Group

“Piecemakers” is a group of women who meet in the Fellowship Hall each Wednesday at 9:30 AM (except for the 2nd Wednesday of each month), from September – June, to quilt, sew, knit or complete favorite craft projects. We sew several quilts for charity and enjoy this time of fellowship, sharing skills and ideas, and speaking freely about experiencing God in our lives. You don’t need to be an expert. Bring your lunch and join us.
“Commit your work unto the Lord and your thoughts will be established.” Proverbs 16:3.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets at the church on the third Saturday of each month to knit, crochet, or weave Prayer Shawls that will be dedicated and given those we are praying for to remind them of God’s love.
We would love to have you become an active part of this ministry. If you are not a crafter, you can still participate. As you lift others up in prayer, ask God to bring to mind those who would be blessed to receive one of these handmade shawls. You can request a shawl for them and we will be honored to help you select one.
Too often, words cannot convey our feelings of love and concern for another, but to drape a shawl made by the work of our hands and the prayers of our heart around someone’s shoulders speaks volumes. The process of making a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice for the shawl maker.
