Co-Pastors – Rev. Damaris Cami-Staples and Rev. Gregory Staples
Rev. Damaris Cami-Staples was born in Barcelona, Spain. She grew up in a Christian home. She graduated from the European Bible Institute in Lamorlaye, France in 1995. In August of 1996 she arrived to the USA to further her Theological studies. In June of 2000, she graduated from Andover Newton Theological School with an MDiv. It was during her years at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Center, MA that she met her future husband, Rev. Greg Staples.
Rev. Damaris Cami-Staples is passionate about making Christ and His message of salvation known. She loves to preach and teach the Word of God and her focus is on making the Word of God relevant to people's daily lives. She firmly believes that churches need to help everyone discover their spiritual gifts and provide opportunities for growth and service for all ages. She believes in a ministry of prevention and healing through preaching, teaching and living out the Gospel. She believes in the call to make disciples of all nations both around the world and here at home. Pastor Damaris enjoys working with people from different cultures and seeing the transformation the Gospel brings to all. She loves nature, hiking, camping, and exercising. She and Rev. Greg Staples have three children: Jessica (13), Nathan (9) and Samuel (2).
Church Secretary – Sandra Rogers
Sandy, her husband, Geoff, and their daughter moved to Clifton Park in 1996 and live in Halfmoon. A graduate of Ithaca College and Syracuse University, Sandy worked as a legal assistant before becoming a full-time mom. She joined the church ministry in 2008 and enjoys keeping administrative matters running smoothly. Sandy also enjoys needlepoint, quilting, and shopping when she is not in the church office.
Organist – Norma McFarland
As organist, Norma plays for the Sunday morning worship service and accompanies the choir and other special music. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Bob Jones University. While living in Ohio she taught in the public school system and was organist in her church. She became organist at Clifton Park Center Baptist Church in 1984. Norma and her husband, Bob, live in Ballston Lake.
CPCB Preschool Director – Jennifer Bloss
Jennifer has been involved with the preschool for many years as a parent. She and her husband have been members of Clifton Park Center Baptist Church since 2000, and she has long been involved in the ministry of preschool serving on the board of Christian Education. She has a Master’s Degree in Education, and worked for Sylvan Learning Center for over 15 years as an Educational Director and teacher, working with children of all ages. Her home is a lively, busy place with 6 children, 3 cats, and a dog, and she is involved as a parent in scouting, colorguard, and other sports and activities. She feels blessed to work with a wonderful staff whose focus is on the nurture and early education of young children.
